There is a great demand for gaming laptops in today’s world of technology. HP had launched its latest gaming laptop Omen X on the month of March of this year. The device includes a Gigabit LAN port, two Type-C ports for both Thunderbolt 3, Mini-DisplayPort, HDMI and a USB 3.0 port at the rear. Even on the sides of the laptop there are many ports provided which includes two USB 3.0 ports, sockets for headphones and a microphone and a SD card slot. The weight of HP Omen X is 5kg and is very easy to handle and use according to the convenient size and shape. It has a full-sized mechanical keyboard and individual buttons for the trackpad which is the main requirements for a gaming laptop. The laptop is available in three configurations that has feature Intel’s Core i7-7820HK CPU which is a quad-core, multi-threaded CPU having maximum base clock speed of 2.9GHz and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 630. The device runs with Windows 10.
The HP Omen X is also provided with a 32GB of RAM that supports for Intel’s XMP memory profile, a 1TB SATA hard drive with two 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSDs in RAID 0, and the main component, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB of GDDR5X RAM. Other features of the laptop includes a dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, stereo speakers by Bang and Olufsen, and a non-removable 6-cell battery. The SSDs in RAID makes the boot times quicker. CPU performance of the device id very good which allows tasks like video encoding, 3D rendering, and file compression takes a few minutes to complete.
